During the summer holidays, when the pinch was even more severe and parents were struggling to make ends meet, supermarket chains were throwing away food. Yes, they would rather throw away perfectly good food than give it to you at a throwaway price. There were gimmicks so the main agenda could be hidden.

An apple here and a banana there for some children. But almost all the food was thrown away. Even your fairing sharing co op ( Many Labour MPs are Co op MPs ) was wasting the food.

There is a simple solution to this. Tax the supermarkets if food is thrown away without it being discounted to less than a quarter for at least two days.
