Ivor Cogdell - I worked as a sales assistant in a large retail company for 19 years; then, after redundancy, I became a home call agent during COVID for two years. I am now retired. I have written a wargaming blog since 2015, and for the last five years I have included a climate report.

As you can see, I support the climate change movement. In my opinion, the governments of the world are not acting fast enough to do what is needed, and it needs doing now. There is no spark or drive to do what is required; the parties hamper each other, scoring points over the people trying to do the right thing, in the pursuit of staying rich, in power or just keeping the status quo.

                    I hope this new UK government is different under Andy Burnham. We cannot afford to wait any longer for the right leader to come along. The time for action is NOW.

My Carbon Footprint - I have not flown since 2006, a prop plane (Blackpool to the Isle of Man) and, before that, two jet trips to Holland and one to Dublin, all from Birmingham. I did have a pushbike, but I now use public transport.
